Financial Statement Audits
A financial statement audit, also referred to as a statutory audit, is a service aimed at enhancing the credibility of financial data through the issuance of an independent auditor's opinion. This opinion confirms the reliability and clarity of the company's financial information and, most importantly, reduces the risk associated with decisions made by users of the financial statements.
Financial statement audits are conducted in accordance with national auditing standards and International Standards on Auditing (ISA), while also applying internally developed methodologies created by experts within the Crowe Global network. The reliability of our work is ensured by international standards and the experience of the Crowe Global network.
Our approach to financial statement audits is always tailored to the specific nature of the client's business. One of the initial stages of the process involves gaining a thorough understanding of the audited entity, including its organisation, performance, financial position, business environment, legal and regulatory framework, as well as its accounting and internal control systems. On this basis, we identify and analyse risk factors and plan the audit process accordingly.
We ensure a continuous and transparent flow of information between the client and our audit team, which enhances the efficiency of the audit and supports its timely completion. Along with the auditor's opinion and report, we present the management board or supervisory board with significant matters that may affect the company's operations, particularly in the context of internal control, and that do not require inclusion in the opinion or report.
The scope of our services includes the audit and review of financial statements, both standalone and consolidated, in accordance with the Polish Accounting Standards and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
